Business Development Executive – Ideally NYC

FantasyWedding.net is looking for a seasoned Business Development Executive who knows the wedding industry inside and out and can help grow the site through advertising sales as well as by building key relationships. This person ultimately will be responsible for the sale of FantasyWedding.net Internet advertising products to national accounts.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospecting and qualifying potential new advertising accounts.
  • Identifying business opportunities and meeting with decision makers to obtain customer commitment and facilitate delivery of product.
  • Act as an advocate and evangelist for FantasyWedding.net advising prospective advertisers on the potential of the site as well as the benefits.
  • Achieving quarterly revenue targets.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in national Internet advertising sales preferably focusing on the bridal industry and/or women’s lifestyle markets.
  • You must have a clear understanding of the online advertising industry and existing relationships with media planners, buyers and interactive agencies. Relationships with designers, wedding planners, etc. in the bridal market would also be valued.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, time-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Windows, MS Office, SalesForce.com.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required.
  • Position works out of a home office.
